In December 2017, Anita was discharged from Aintree Hospital and stayed with her son John in Didsbury before moving to a new ground-floor flat in Mowbray Court, near the family home in Bootle, which she had vacated.
Strict smoking rules were observed during her two-week Disley stay. Consequently, Anita was forced to smoke her cigarettes in the garage.
